How to Group Apps on iPhone

middleportal.com – Tired of having a cluttered Home Screen on your iPhone? Want to quickly find the apps you use most often? Grouping apps into folders is a great way to organize your Home Screen and make it more user-friendly. With just a few simple steps, you can create folders for different categories of apps, such as social media, games, or productivity tools. This will make it easier to find the apps you need without having to scroll through pages and pages of icons.

Step 1: Access the Home Screen

To group apps on your iPhone, start by accessing the Home Screen. This is the screen that appears when you unlock your device or press the Home button.

Step 2: Enter Jiggle Mode

Next, touch and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the apps start to jiggle. You will notice that each app icon has a small ‘x’ in the top left corner.

Step 3: Create a Folder

To create a folder, drag an app icon onto another app icon. This will automatically create a folder with both apps inside it. You can choose any two apps to create a folder.

Step 4: Add More Apps to the Folder

If you want to add more apps to the folder, simply drag them onto the folder. You can add as many apps as you like, but keep in mind that there is a limit of 12 apps per folder.

Step 5: Rename the Folder

If you want to rename the folder, touch and hold the folder until it enters jiggle mode again. Then, tap on the folder and select ‘Rename’ from the menu that appears. Enter a new name for the folder using the on-screen keyboard.

Step 6: Rearrange and Delete Folders

To rearrange the order of your folders, simply drag and drop them to the desired location on the Home Screen. If you want to delete a folder, enter jiggle mode, tap on the folder, and select ‘Delete’ from the menu. Note that deleting a folder will also delete all the apps inside it.

That’s it! You now know how to group apps on your iPhone. This feature can help you organize your apps and make it easier to find and access them.
